Meet Our Board of Directors

The Mission of Cor Jesu is governed by a Board of Directors composed of faithful Catholics. The Executive Director oversees all ministries, programs, operations, employees, and volunteers, ensuring that all activities remain aligned with the mission of Cor Jesu.

Libby Oleferchik

President and Executive Director

Libby came to The Mission in December 2020, before its opening. Under her leadership and direction, The Mission changed direction, solidified their new mission and purpose, and opened in May of 2021. Since that time she and her team have been building a ministry dedicated to bringing all people to the Heart of Jesus Christ.

Libby also serves as the director of our Rachel’s Vineyard Rockford ministry, a post abortive healing ministry in the Northern Illinois area. Rachel’s Vineyard weekend retreats help post abortive women and men encounter the mercy of God and heal from past abortion experiences.

Prior to coming to Cor Jesu, Libby was the Administrative Officer at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at O’Hare International Airport, responsible for oversight of the Human Resources, Payroll, and Finance Departments. She also previously served on the Board of Directors for the Madonna Renewal Center in Freeport, IL.

She is an active parishioner at St. Mary Huntley, where she is a member of the Pastoral Council, committed adorer, and a Eucharistic minister for the homebound.

He has been a member of St. Mary Parish in Gilberts since 2004, where he faithfully serves as a lector, usher, doorkeeper, and cantor. Charlie also previously taught eighth-grade CCD in both Indiana and Illinois for thirteen years.

Professionally, Charlie holds degrees in law and business. He has served as an officer of a small publicly traded company, worked for a public transit agency, and currently serves as an officer of a privately held company. We are deeply grateful for Charlie’s knowledge, skill, wisdom, and faith, which he generously brings to The Mission of Cor Jesu.

Moses

Moses welcomes all guests at Cor Jesu and helps us to maintain a peaceful and playful atmosphere. Don’t let the eyes fool you, he is constantly conducting risk assessments.

Moses was recently certified as a therapy dog through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. If you need some therapy, he is more than happy to let you pet him 😁.

Moses resides at Cor Jesu and can be found patrolling the ponds all summer long. He loves anything that squeaks, swimming, dog treats, all people, but most of all he loves balls. If you throw it, he will hunt it down and bring it back.

Our Many Volunteers and Supporters

The Mission of Cor Jesu is deeply blessed by a dedicated and faithful team of volunteers who generously give of their time and talents in service to this mission. Their commitment and love for Cor Jesu make it possible for our ministries and daily operations to thrive. On any given day, you may find volunteers mowing the lawn, cleaning the retreat house, assisting with maintenance projects, supporting administrative needs, helping with parking at events, and serving in countless other ways. We truly could not do this work without them, and we are profoundly grateful for the volunteers whose faithful service helps keep the Mission of Cor Jesu running and welcoming to all.
