Join us on a One-Day Advent Pilgrimage to Chicago with Fr. Jerome - December 7, 2023

Chicago has a rich Catholic history. With over 200 Catholic churches, there are so many beautiful churches you could visit while in Chicago. On our one-day Advent pilgrimage, we’ll visit 3 Basilicas, the Cathedral, see the Christmas tree in Millenium Park, and enjoy an authentic Chicago style lunch.

Cost of the pilgrimage includes round trip motor coach, tours, Chicago style catered lunch and drinks, snacks, tips, and all other fees.

Itinerary

Depart St. Mary Catholic Church Huntley

Depart St. Mary Huntley and head to our first stop.

Queen of All Saints Basilica

Founded in 1929, the church was completed in 1960 and elevated to a Basilica in 1962 by Pope John Paul II.

St. Hyacinth Basilica

This parish was founded in 1894 by the Resurrectionist Order and is still administered by them today. The church was elevated to a Basilica in 2003 by Pope John Paul II.

Our Lady of Sorrows Basilica

This church was founded in 1874 and has always been administered by the Servite Order. It was elevated to a Basilica in 1956 and is the home of the National Shrine of St. Peregrine.

Salernos

Take a break and enjoy an authentic Italian lunch, a Chicago favorite for over 50 years.

Holy Name Cathedral

Founded in 1849, Holy Name wasn’t formally named the  Cathedral of Chicago until after the Chicago fire in 1871.

Millenium Park

No Advent pilgrimage would be complete without a Christmas tree! We’ll enjoy hot cocoa and holiday treats as we view Chicago’s iconic Christmas tree.
